I do not wish to sound biased as many man have made a huge difference (normally with a strong woman supporting them). If your desire is to be one of them, why should anything hold you back. Hopefully your relationship is such that there is no jealousy if you earn more than your partner. Because women give birth to babies does not necessarily mean that men are less nurturing. Many men can bring up children as successfully as women and enjoy their lives at the same time.

Watch parents at a child’s special function, be it a school play or a soccer game. Fathers get as much pleasure as mothers from their children’s achievements. Why should anything preclude fathers from being the most wonderful stay at home parent.

In order to become a good leader you need to practice what you are taught and learn from that guidance. Now that you have started to build your business and people are joining you, the need to become a leader is essential in order to keep the momentum of your business growing. Your sponsor/upline should give you a bit of guidance. As we all have very different personalities what works for one person may not work for another.

There are many books on leadership. Learning how to read different personalities and what will make them ticks is an art all its’ own. A great book to read on this is ‘Personality Plus’ by Florence Littauer. Simply put she defines four personalities. Each of us is predominantly one of those personalities. She makes it very easy to pick out those personalities and teaches how to deal with each one.

Leadership is all about the other person. Forget about being on a pedestal because you have followers – that’s dictatorship. Leadership is knowing what people need and when. It is not advisable to rush any process. Everything must happen in its’ own time.

One of the greatest teachers of leadership in the writers’ opinion is John Maxwell. This morning he was asked the question “How do I grow my business”. The answer “grow yourself”. He advised “be true to yourself, give yourself a chance, pay the price, be disciplined and grow yourself. As you develop yourself, good things will happen to you.” John Maxwell has written dozens of books in a language understood by all. His teachings are profound and should be part of any leadership program whether for multi-level marketing or any other activity in your life.

Learning people skills from outstanding leaders in the world today is guaranteed to teach you success in all walks of life. Never stop learning as there is not a person alive who knows everything.

Dealing with Rejection in your Multi-level Marketing Business

Can you take Rejection in your Multi-level Marketing Business?

I am sure you will have realized by now that we are imploring you to take the initial stages of this business slowly and carefully. It is completely the opposite of what most systems teach as generally people get so fired up and excited that they are just let loose without training. I assure you that as good and confident as you are with people, you are going to encounter a ton of rejection. No matter who you are or how thick skinned and tough you believe yourself to be, rejection hurts.

Get some experience first. Watch others in your upline get rejection and try to assess what you feel you could do better. Being forceful seldom works for anyone and nagging turns most anyone off. You will hear advice like ‘throw mud on the wall and see what sticks’, meaning just blast everyone you know with what you are doing and if anyone comes back, work with them. I am not sure that this is good advice as there may be a lot of people in the mud that would like a more informative and gentler approach.

Accept the fact that you will get rejected by people you least expect. If you have never been in a successful venture before or do not stand out as a business leader, those closest to you are not likely to believe that you will be successful. Often they prefer to wait to see how well you do and if you stick with the extra pressure of a business as well as a job. Do not be disheartened by this reaction. Some closest to you might even say you can never become successful in this kind of business, because they have tried it and it didn’t work. That mainly happens because they did not work the business and tried for a couple of weeks and gave up.

Nothing worthwhile happens overnight. Ask any person who has become an ‘overnight success’ how many years of practice and hard work it took before they became an ‘overnight success’. There is no such thing.

Respect peoples’ boundaries and do not try to impose your wishes on them. You would like to take everyone with you on this adventure. Some of your closest friends and family might reject you outright. Bear in mind if you become a success then they will have to join you and that can be very daunting for some. Try not to show your disappointment if people do not pick up on your enthusiasm.

Never get angry with anyone and definitely don’t lose your friends or argue with your family over your business. Rather become a success and in time they might come around when they see that you are not stressed about people who say no to you. Also do not nag people to join your business. It should be done exactly as you have done. Hopefully you have taken the advice in these articles and have gotten over the hype. Now that you have established the business you wish to be part of and the people you will be guided by, the next most important step is to investigate the products. We have already mentioned that the business and the products should have a money-back guarantee after 60 or 90 days.
